Support to Industry
CREST’s Industry Advisory Panel is comprised of key figures from industry. The IAP guides CREST and ensures that the CREST community is aware of current information security issues and challenges. The IAP:
- Provides guidance to the CREST Executive
- Reviews and monitors the CREST accreditation activities
- Advises on the technical and business aspects of the standard
- Acts as a check and balance to the direction and policy of CREST
- Helps to direct CREST and will also conduct pieces of work in support of IAP and CREST objectives

In addition, CREST provides support to industry on a number of fronts. CREST is working with industry and government on the production of guidance and white papers. CREST is actively influencing the penetration testing marketplace by providing the penetration testing industry with an impartial voice within a number of key information assurance initiatives.
