Students, businesses, researchers and academics share cybersecurity knowledge at first CRESTx at Lancaster University


CREST, the professional body representing the ethical security testing and incident response industry, and Lancaster University hosted the first CRESTx event on 3rd July 2014.

With live presentations from local businesses, students and academics, along with recorded presentations from this year’s CRESTCon, it provided an unrivalled opportunity to share and discuss the most up-to-date issues, challenges and ideas in cyber security.

The CRESTx initiative ( will provide its academic partner universities with high quality information and video material to run their own versions of the annual CRESTCon event. CRESTx gives students the unrivalled opportunity to have the most up to date information and ideas in cyber security by providing access to the latest professional presentations. At the same time it gives students a platform to showcase their research to a wider academic community, the cyber security industry and in particular potential employers.
