Tracy Buckingham, Deputy Director for Cyber and Security Exports at the Department for International Trade, will open the virtual CRESTCon 2021 event next week on 29 June for the technical cyber security industry. In a talk entitled ‘A UK Government Perspective on Cyber Security’, Tracy Buckingham will look at the growing threat landscape and provide an insight into the UK Government’s approach to cyber security and policy. She will also talk about the importance of co-operation between Government, industry, and academia to achieve the priority actions under the next UK National Cyber Strategy and highlight further initiatives to find and develop cyber security talent of the future.
With the event moving online this year, CRESTCon 2021 is free to attend. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear industry leading speakers across three streams: penetration testing, threat intelligence and incident response and awareness. The full agenda can be found at https://www.crestcon.org/uk/attend-schedule/
“The last CRESTCon in 2019 attracted over 450 delegates so we are disappointed that CRESTCon 2021 has gone virtual,” said Ian Glover, President of CREST. “While it will not provide the same experience, the quality of speakers and topics for this year’s conference are compelling and explore many of the new cyber security challenges facing businesses, public sector organisations and our critical national infrastructure. By making it free to register, we hope to attract a wide and diverse attendance and introduce more people to CREST and the world of technical cyber security.”
Events like this would not be possible without the support of sponsors and partners. CRESTCon Gold sponsors are Titania and NTT. Other sponsors include PwC, Foregenix, Obrela Security Industries, Bob’s Business, Security Alliance, Jumpsec, and ICSI.
