DESCRIPTION:We’re pleased to be returning to the Bucharest Cybersecurity Conference (BCC) 2026\, taking place from 20-22 October in Bucharest\, Romania. \nBringing together policymakers\, regulators\, industry leaders and cybersecurity practitioners from across Europe and beyond\, BCC provides an important platform for collaboration and discussion on the challenges shaping Europe’s cybersecurity landscape. \nBuilding on our participation last year\, CREST is delighted to be contributing to this year’s programme through the moderation of two sessions exploring some of the most significant issues facing the cybersecurity industry today. \nCREST at BCC 2026 \nPanel 2: Rules for the Real World: Can Europe’s Cybersecurity Legislation Deliver What It Promises? \nModerated by CREST Europe Chair\, Zoja\, this session will explore whether Europe’s ambitious cybersecurity legislation is delivering meaningful security outcomes in practice\, examining challenges around regulatory harmonisation\, proportionality and enforcement. \nPanel 4: Agentic AI in the Wild: What Practitioners Are Seeing\, Fearing and Building \nModerated by Heigor\, CREST Head of Region\, UK & Europe\, this discussion will examine the security and governance challenges emerging as agentic AI moves into real-world environments\, including accountability for autonomous decisions\, lessons from practitioners and the effectiveness of emerging governance frameworks. \nBoth discussions closely align with CREST’s ongoing work on AI assurance\, responsible AI adoption and strengthening cybersecurity standards\, highlighting the importance of bridging policy\, governance and practical industry experience. \nCREST is pleased to support opportunities for meaningful dialogue across the cybersecurity community and would like to thank the Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) and Bitdefender for bringing together experts from across Europe and beyond for these important conversations. \nWe look forward to reconnecting with colleagues\, partners and industry peers in Bucharest. \nEvent Details \nDate: 20-22 October 2026\nLocation: Bucharest\, Romania\nWebsite: Visit the BCC 2026 website \n
