SUMMARY:National Cybersecurity Connect 2025
DESCRIPTION:Post-event resources \nLast month\, our Asia Council Representative for Indonesia\, Henry Tan\, met with the Director of Cyber Security and Crypto for ICT\, Media\, and Transportation Sector for BSSN\, Nur Achmadi Salmawan\, the President of ADIGSI\, Firlie Ganinduto\, and Vice Minister Nezar Patria and his team at KOMDIGI to explore closer collaboration in supporting Indonesia’s cybersecurity capability\, standards\, and professional workforce. \nAs part of a UK Trade Mission to Indonesia\, the team participated in a cybersecurity roundtable on financial sector resilience and connected with peers at a networking reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of London. \nLater in the week\, Henry contributed to a panel at the National Cybersecurity Connect Conference on how collaboration drives digital growth and trust\, alongside moderator Fanky Christian\, General Secretary of the Indonesian ICT Business Association (APTIKNAS). \nThank you to our partners at the Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara (BSSN)\, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (KOMDIGI)\, Asosiasi Digitalisasi dan Keamanan Siber Indonesia (ADIGSI)\, UK Department for Business and Trade\, and to the organisers at National Cybersecurity Connect\, for the opportunity to collaborate.  \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \n  \n\n  \nWe are a Community Partner at the National Cybersecurity Connect! \nOur Asia Council Representative for Indonesia\, Henry Tan\, will join a panel discussion on “Connecting the Cybersecurity Ecosystem Towards Digital Growth”\, at 13:47 to 15:02 (WIB)\, exploring how cross-sector collaboration drives digital growth and trust. \nAbout the conference \nIndonesia aims to achieve 8% economic growth by 2025\, driven by industrialisation\, downstreaming\, and the growing digital economy\, which contributed $77 billion in 2022. Key sectors such as energy\, agriculture\, and infrastructure play a central role\, supported by initiatives like nickel processing for EV batteries and increasing foreign investments. However\, global challenges\, including geopolitical uncertainties and a 23% rise in cyberattacks in 2023\, pose significant risks to critical sectors like banking\, transportation\, and energy\, highlighting the urgent need for robust cybersecurity measures. \nTo address these challenges\, National Cybersecurity Connect 2025 will serve as a strategic platform for fostering collaboration\, advancing security technologies\, and developing innovative policies. This event aims to strengthen Indonesia’s digital ecosystem\, enhance economic resilience\, and support the nation’s ambition to become a leading digital economy in Southeast Asia. \nSee you there!

SUMMARY:AI x Cybersecurity Summit 2025
DESCRIPTION:Post-event resources  \nExploring the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. \nLast month at the AI x Cybersecurity Summit in Singapore\, our Asia Council Representative\, John Lloyd\, shared insights on “Raising the Standard: The Value of CREST Certifications in your Cybersecurity Career”. \nJohn highlighted how our globally recognised certifications are contributing to the development of maturing cyber ecosystems across Asia and beyond\, supporting both individual career growth and the overall development of the cybersecurity workforce. \nHe also joined a fireside chat discussing the impact of AI on critical infrastructure\, healthcare\, and finance\, and the evolving skills needed to defend against AI-driven threats. \nThank you to our Training Partner\, NTUC LearningHub\, for organising the event and providing the opportunity to collaborate. We look forward to strengthening this partnership. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n  \n\n  \nWe are a Supporting Organisation at NTUC LearningHub’s AI x Cybersecurity Summit! \nCREST at AI x Cybersecurity Summit \nOur Asia Council Member\, John Lloyd\, will represent CREST at two different sessions in the afternoon: \n\nRaising the Standard: The Value of CREST Certifications in Your Cybersecurity Career\, from 14:30 to 14:45.\n\nThis session highlights how CREST certifications set a global benchmark for technical excellence and professional standards in the cybersecurity industry. Attendees will learn how these certifications validate skills\, enhance career prospects\, and help organisations build trust in an evolving threat landscape.\n\n\nFireside Chat: “Defending Against AI-Powered Threats: Is Your Cybersecurity Strategy Ready?”\, from 16:00 to 17:00.\n\nAs AI becomes both a tool for attackers and defenders\, this topic explores the emerging threat landscape\, such as deepfake phishing\, automated recon and exploits\, and AI-driven malware. It can also dive into how defenders can use AI for SOC automation\, anomaly detection\, and faster incident response.\n\n\n\n\nAbout the event \nOrganisations are increasingly vulnerable as AI is reshaping the cyber threat landscape. During Exercise SG Ready 2025*\, nearly 1 in 3 employees opened a simulated phishing email\, revealing a critical gap in workforce cyber awareness. \nCybercriminals are leveraging AI to craft highly-convincing phishing emails that easily bypass traditional security filters. To strengthen organisational resilience\, workforce must upskill employees to mitigate AI-driven cyber threats and navigate the risks of adversarial AI. \nJoin NTUC LearningHub and gain the latest threat insights from industry leaders and discover how to safeguard your workforce against AI-generated cyber threats with practical resilience strategies. \nSee you there!
