DESCRIPTION:Post-event resources \nLast month\, our Asia Council Representative for Indonesia\, Henry Tan\, met with the Director of Cyber Security and Crypto for ICT\, Media\, and Transportation Sector for BSSN\, Nur Achmadi Salmawan\, the President of ADIGSI\, Firlie Ganinduto\, and Vice Minister Nezar Patria and his team at KOMDIGI to explore closer collaboration in supporting Indonesia’s cybersecurity capability\, standards\, and professional workforce. \nAs part of a UK Trade Mission to Indonesia\, the team participated in a cybersecurity roundtable on financial sector resilience and connected with peers at a networking reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of London. \nLater in the week\, Henry contributed to a panel at the National Cybersecurity Connect Conference on how collaboration drives digital growth and trust\, alongside moderator Fanky Christian\, General Secretary of the Indonesian ICT Business Association (APTIKNAS). \nThank you to our partners at the Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara (BSSN)\, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (KOMDIGI)\, Asosiasi Digitalisasi dan Keamanan Siber Indonesia (ADIGSI)\, UK Department for Business and Trade\, and to the organisers at National Cybersecurity Connect\, for the opportunity to collaborate.  \n \n\n		\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		\n\n  \n  \n\n  \nWe are a Community Partner at the National Cybersecurity Connect! \nOur Asia Council Representative for Indonesia\, Henry Tan\, will join a panel discussion on “Connecting the Cybersecurity Ecosystem Towards Digital Growth”\, at 13:47 to 15:02 (WIB)\, exploring how cross-sector collaboration drives digital growth and trust. \nAbout the conference \nIndonesia aims to achieve 8% economic growth by 2025\, driven by industrialisation\, downstreaming\, and the growing digital economy\, which contributed $77 billion in 2022. Key sectors such as energy\, agriculture\, and infrastructure play a central role\, supported by initiatives like nickel processing for EV batteries and increasing foreign investments. However\, global challenges\, including geopolitical uncertainties and a 23% rise in cyberattacks in 2023\, pose significant risks to critical sectors like banking\, transportation\, and energy\, highlighting the urgent need for robust cybersecurity measures. \nTo address these challenges\, National Cybersecurity Connect 2025 will serve as a strategic platform for fostering collaboration\, advancing security technologies\, and developing innovative policies. This event aims to strengthen Indonesia’s digital ecosystem\, enhance economic resilience\, and support the nation’s ambition to become a leading digital economy in Southeast Asia. \nSee you there!
