SUMMARY:BSides Hanoi 2026
DESCRIPTION:CREST supports BSides Hanoi 2026 as Certification Sponsor\nCREST is supporting BSides Hanoi 2026 as the event’s Certification Sponsor\, helping to encourage professional development and recognise emerging cybersecurity talent in Vietnam. \nBSides Hanoi is a community-driven cybersecurity conference bringing together security practitioners\, researchers\, technology leaders and students to exchange knowledge\, share practical experience and strengthen connections across the cybersecurity community. \nReturning for its second edition\, the 2026 event will take place under the theme “No Human”\, exploring the growing influence of artificial intelligence\, automation and autonomous systems on cybersecurity. The programme will examine how these technologies are changing security operations\, vulnerability research\, digital trust and the way organisations protect increasingly automated environments. \nSupporting cybersecurity professionals in Vietnam\nAs Certification Sponsor\, CREST will provide CREST certification opportunities as prizes through the event\, supporting participants as they develop and demonstrate their technical cybersecurity knowledge. \nCREST certifications are recognised internationally and provide professionals with structured pathways through their cybersecurity careers. By supporting BSides Hanoi\, CREST aims to help more practitioners in Vietnam access internationally recognised certification and connect with the wider global cybersecurity community. \nThe partnership also reflects CREST’s continued commitment to working with governments\, industry\, academia and professional communities across Asia to build sustainable cybersecurity capability and raise professional standards. \nAbout BSides Hanoi\nBSides Hanoi is part of the global Security BSides community\, a network of independently organised cybersecurity events created by and for the security community. \nThe event provides an open and collaborative environment where experienced practitioners\, new professionals\, researchers and students can share ideas\, present technical work and discuss the issues shaping the future of cybersecurity. \nBSides Hanoi 2026 is organised by Vietnam Cybersecurity Joint Stock Company (VSEC)\, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Association and the Vietnam Internet Association.

SUMMARY:CRESTCon Singapore Community Day - Lessons from the Cybersecurity Frontline: Securing and Adopting AI
DESCRIPTION:CREST is bringing Singapore’s cybersecurity community together for an afternoon of practical insight\, honest discussion and professional networking focused on one of the sector’s most pressing challenges: how organisations can adopt artificial intelligence securely while responding to its rapidly evolving risks. \nThe event is designed to move beyond theory and explore what organisations and practitioners are seeing on the frontline today. \nHosted by the IMDA at its Mapletree Business City offices\, the event is held under the Chatham House Rule. Lessons from the cybersecurity frontline: securing and adopting AI provides a trusted environment for practitioners to share real-world experiences\, lessons learned\, and practical approaches to securing\, governing\, and adopting AI technologies. \nCall for speakers now open\nCREST is inviting cybersecurity practitioners and subject-matter experts from across Singapore to contribute to the programme. \nWe are particularly interested in practitioner-led presentations that share real experiences\, technical insights\, lessons learned and practical recommendations relating to the secure adoption and use of AI. \nPotential topics could include: \n\nSecuring enterprise adoption of generative AI\nAI-enabled cyberattacks and emerging threat techniques\nPenetration testing and assurance of AI systems\nPrompt injection\, model manipulation and data leakage\nRed teaming AI applications and large language models\nUsing AI within security operations\, incident response or threat intelligence\nGovernance\, risk and compliance considerations\nProtecting sensitive information when using AI tools\nBuilding organisational readiness for AI-related incidents\nCase studies\, failures and lessons learned from real-world deployments\nThe changing skills required of cybersecurity professionals\nResponsible innovation and maintaining trust in AI systems\n\nSubmissions should offer genuine educational value and should not be product- or sales-led. \nYou do not need to be an experienced conference speaker. CREST community events are intended to provide a welcoming platform for new and established voices\, diverse perspectives and practitioners who have valuable experiences to share. \nSubmit a speaker proposal to faye.percival@crest-approved.org by the 19th of August. Please send your talk title and summary. Note talks will be 30 mins with no sales or promotion. Please read the event summary carefully to ensure you adhere to the topic. \nWhy attend?\nAI is creating significant opportunities for organisations\, but it is also changing the speed\, scale and nature of cybersecurity risk. \nThis event will give attendees the opportunity to: \n\nHear directly from practitioners working with AI and cybersecurity\nLearn from real-world implementations\, incidents and testing engagements\nExplore practical ways to secure AI adoption\nUnderstand emerging vulnerabilities and attack techniques\nShare experiences with peers in a trusted professional environment\nBuild connections across Singapore’s cybersecurity community\nContribute to a stronger and more resilient regional cyber ecosystem\n\nWho should attend?\nThe event is open to cybersecurity professionals and stakeholders\, including: \n\nPenetration testers and red teamers\nIncident response and digital forensics professionals\nSecurity operations and threat intelligence teams\nCISOs and cybersecurity leaders\nAI\, data and technology leaders\nRisk\, governance and compliance professionals\nGovernment and regulatory stakeholders\nSecurity researchers\nCREST Member companies and certified professionals\nEarly-career cybersecurity practitioners\n\nWhether your organisation is already deploying AI at scale or is still assessing how to adopt it responsibly\, the event will provide practical insight and an opportunity to learn from others facing similar challenges.
