DESCRIPTION:Post-event resources\nOur Asia team alongside our Malaysian Council Ambassadors look back at a great week at the NACSA Cyber Security Summit 2024\, meeting with our Malaysian community of members\, cyber security professionals\, and key stakeholder partners in the country. \nThe theme of the conference was “Unified efforts for a secure and resilient Malaysia”. One of the highlights of the conference was our Asia Chair\, Mr Emil Tan\, taking part in a panel discussion on the new Cyber Security Act and its implementation. \nCREST was delighted to attend and sends a heartfelt thank you to the organising committee. \n\n		\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\n  \n\nWe are delighted to announce CREST’s support for the NACSA Cybersecurity Summit (NCSS)!  \nUnder the theme “Unified Efforts for a Secure and Resilient Malaysia”\, this event is organised by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) Malaysia and co-organised by Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd. (AIS)\, and aims to convene top-tier professionals from various sectors for a comprehensive discussion on the current state of cybersecurity affairs. \nThe NCSS 2024 targets senior executives and CISOs\, emphasising Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII)’s role in national security through educational initiatives. It focuses on actionable cybersecurity solutions and best practices\, essential for protecting critical infrastructure. The summit provides strategic insights to develop effective cybersecurity strategies. Highlighted sessions cover NACSA’s pivotal role as a cybersecurity regulator\, aligning with the Malaysia Cyber Security Bill 2024. This legislation likely aims to enhance national cyber resilience\, define regulatory frameworks\, and specify agency roles in safeguarding critical information infrastructure. The NCSS themes complement the bill’s objectives\, emphasising collaboration and education for robust cybersecurity measures in Malaysia. \nWe are looking forward to networking with peers\, learning from leading experts\, and engaging in solution-oriented discussions that will empower cybersecurity initiatives. \nSee you there!
