CREST CAMP - EBRD

With funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), this CREST CAMP cohort in Morocco is dedicated to strengthening the country’s small and medium-sized cyber security enterprises by focusing on four key disciplines critical to international cyber security resilience:

• Security Architecture
• Penetration Testing
• Incident Response
• Security Operations Centres (SOC)

Unlike traditional cyber security auditing and regulatory frameworks which prioritise compliance-based assessments, CREST CAMP – EBRD takes a capability-building approach that actively supports Moroccan service providers in developing their technical maturity and aligning with globally recognised cyber security standards. Rather than simply evaluating compliance, the programme identifies critical maturity gaps that may otherwise limit SMEs’ ability to scale, compete, and expand into new markets.

Through a structured self-assessment process and in-depth gap analysis reports, the programme provides participants with practical, hands-on guidance to improve their methodologies, technical expertise, and service delivery. This will also allow participants to identify areas where targeted consultancy support can help fill the gaps. This ensures that companies are not just meeting security baselines, but actively enhancing their capabilities in line with international best practices.

The result? A more competitive, resilient Moroccan cyber security sector that is equipped to support government institutions, critical national infrastructure, and private-sector clients globally in the long-term.
