CREST CAMP funding

CREST CAMP is funded through contributions from a diverse range of donors, including governments, international organisations, development agencies, and philanthropic supporters. This flexible funding model ensures the programme can address the unique needs of participating regions and donor-specific requirements, while maintaining its overarching mission of strengthening global cyber security ecosystems.

Donors contribute directly to building sustainable cyber security ecosystems, equipping local service providers with the skills and resources to align with international standards, and strengthening global resilience against cyber threats.

We have three CREST CAMP initiatives funded by three major donors:

• European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD): The EBRD is funding CREST CAMP in Morocco, focusing on empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to improve their cyber security capabilities and championing our internationally recognised standards.

• The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO): The FCDO, through its International Security Fund (ISF) and Global Cyber Programme, supports CREST CAMP in 11 countries, including Armenia, Bahrain, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, and Thailand. This funding focuses on enhancing the maturity of local cyber security ecosystems and equipping local training providers with practitioner-level course materials and coaching for trainers to enable cyber professionals to prepare for CREST examinations.

• The Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT): The DFAT, supports CREST CAMP in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. This funding is open to private cyber security service providers that deliver cyber security services and will also be supporting selected training organisations in Thailand, enabling them to deliver training courses for our certifications to candidates.
