Mishcon de Reya becomes first law firm to hold CREST accreditation for Incident Response services via MDR Cyber

9 November 2020:     Mishcon de Reya is today the first law firm worldwide to hold CREST accreditation for its Incident Response services via cyber security practice, MDR Cyber.

Cyber crime issues don’t always make the headlines, but are the most common risks to affect organisations and individuals today. MDR Cyber’s enhanced Incident Response services have been designed from the ground up to rapidly target financial crime, fraud and data breaches, to counteract a common focus on technical issues over financial recovery.

Joe Hancock, Partner and Head of MDR Cyber, said: “We believe in tackling both the financial, technological and legal aspects of cyber incidents. CREST accreditation is part of our commitment to delivering specialist cyber security and incident response services, combining law and cyber expertise.”

CREST accreditation means that the quality of MDR Cyber’s services have been externally validated. Clients can have confidence in the Incident Response service they are using, and that the processes and policies in place ensure the highest quality of service.

“As the first law firm to achieve CREST accreditation, Mishcon de Reya has recognised the growing financial and legal implications of a cyber security breach and the vital role of rapid incident response to mitigate the impact,” says Ian Glover, President of CREST.  “CREST membership provides internationally recognised validation of MDR’s cyber incident response services that gives its clients a high level of assurance and trust when dealing with a breach.”
