We recognise that to build talent for the future, we must invest in training and development today. That is why we actively work with colleges and universities to encourage the very best people to consider a career in the cyber security industry.
Publicity for Academic Partners that have relevant technical information assurance courses
The inclusion on the register of Academic Partners will help raise the profile of the academic institutions to key influencers and our members who are potential graduate employers.
Support to syllabus creation and refinement
We publish a syllabus for each examination we run. These have been used by Academic Partners to create or refine their courses.
Subsidised CPSA examination vouchers
We will provide a subsidy against the cost of examination vouchers. For universities to qualify for this subsidy, they will need to purchase vouchers centrally, with a minimum block purchase of 10 vouchers.
Internship and work placement opportunities
Internships or work placements are a great opportunity for students to gain real world experience to complement their academic coursework, as well as a fantastic chance for businesses to get access to up and coming talent in security testing.
Participation in workshops and events
Academic Partners and their students can gain access to many workshops and webinars we run on topics of relevance to those considering careers in cyber security.
Support for events
We offer support to partners who want to run their own cyber security events.
Career advice and guidance to students
We provide guest speakers on career advice, ethics and the need to follow a professional development path. This is supported by career guides and career support tools.
We are always on the lookout for success stories about students working in industry placements, and would welcome case studies from our Academic Partners. Please contact [email protected]
