GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark

What is the GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark?

In an effort to help managed service providers (MSPs) establish a starting point for their security journey, the Global Technology Industry Association (“GTIA”, formerly the CompTIA Community) Cybersecurity Trustmark offers a path for solution providers that are GTIA members to differentiate themselves by getting accredited against an industry standard of security controls.

The GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark has at its foundation the Center for Internet Security’s 18 Critical Security Controls, as well as controls from other globally recognized frameworks, to form industry-accepted best practices.

How can CREST members support GTIA to deliver their Cybersecurity Trustmark?

GTIA uses high quality accredited service providers to assess MSPs against the Cybersecurity Trustmark standards.

To be eligible to deliver these assessments a service provider must be both a CREST Member company and have been awarded the CIS Controls Accreditation. Current service providers supporting GTIA’s Cybersecurity Trustmark will have to comply with these eligibility rules from July 1 2025.

If you want to enquire about CREST Membership, please contact [email protected].

If you are a CREST Member company and you would like to enquire about adding the CIS Controls Accreditation, please find more information about the application process here or directly contact [email protected].

If you are already both a CREST Member company and you already have the CIS Controls Accreditation you do not need to do anything else to be eligible. You will be listed in the CREST member list as eligible to deliver services to GTIA. You can also contact the GTIA team at [email protected] to explore the current opportunities to support them.
