LATEST UPDATE: Exam Validity Extensions

CREST continues to support the community and tries to ensure that we do not place additional pressure on individuals during the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

CREST has temporarily closed its Examination Centres in the UK, USA and Singapore.  As previously notified, any Certifications that are due to expire between 18 March 2020 and until 31st August 2020 will be extended by 6 months.  CREST has now taken the decision to further extend the period of these certification extensions to 31 December.  For the avoidance of doubt, this means that all certifications that are due to expire between 18 March 2020 and 31 December 2020 will be extended by six months.

This also aligns with the latest NCSC policy for UK Government CHECK status qualifications and includes certifications associated with other governing bodies’ regulatory schemes.

This extension covers all CREST examinations and includes those taken at Pearson Vue centres, which may be either complete examinations valid for three years or written components of practical examinations that are only valid for one year.

The CREST examinations centres in UK, Australia, USA and Singapore are currently closed.  The examination centre in Hong Kong remains open but this situation may change.  We are closely monitoring the position and the government guidelines in all regions.  Please be assured that personal safety is our primary objective in our strategy moving forward.  Please also refer to the Coronavirus Update Page  on the Pearson Vue website for additional details and the most up-to-date information on test delivery in specific regions.

CREST remains vigilant to the evolving situation and we are in an advanced planning stage to prepare for when our examination centres are able to open again.  Candidates should monitor the CREST website for the latest news (https://www.crest-approved.org/).

If anyone has any questions about the closure of the examination centres or the extension of the qualifications, please contact [email protected].
