Raising cyber defence collaboration at Cyber DSA 2025, Kuala Lumpur
Last week, we participated in Cyber DSA 2025, a key gathering for regional and defence cybersecurity leaders driving resilience, capability and collaboration across Southeast Asia, marking the start of our activities during Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
Ts. Vikneswaran Kunasegaran, Elected Council Member for Malaysia, moderated a high-level panel discussion on advancing cyber assurance and capability maturity within defence and critical infrastructure sectors. He emphasised the importance of competency, accreditation and trusted frameworks in strengthening national cyber ecosystems.
The conference also provided an opportunity for our Asia Chair, BK Soon, to meet with Rear Admiral Fadhil bin Abdul Rahman, Director General of the Defence Cyber & Electromagnetic Division (DCED), Malaysia Armed Forces (ATM), and Dato’ Dr Amirudin Abdul Wahab, Chief Executive of CyberSecurity Malaysia.
Together, we are exploring areas for deeper collaboration between CREST, government and industry to continue raising standards and building trusted partnerships that enhance Malaysia’s cyber resilience.
We remain committed to working with Malaysia’s defence and cybersecurity leadership to support professionalisation, certification and the growth of trusted cyber capability across the region.
We are an Engagement Partner at Cyber DSA 2025!
