In 2006, Abertay was the first university to offer a degree in Ethical Hacking. Since then, the Division of Cybersecurity has expanded offerings with a strong portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, all maintaining an excellent international reputation for quality and employability.
We design our degrees to explore the offensive flavours of cybersecurity, supporting the development of critical technical insights and vital communication skills. Students have ample opportunities to hone these skills through close collaboration with industry, lecturers and fellow students throughout their studies.
Our staff’s substantial expertise informs our diverse module offerings, including ethical hacking, penetration testing, digital forensics, human-computer interaction, usable security, IoT, secure software development, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.
