The University of Birmingham

With a heritage as the original ‘redbrick’ university, the University of Birmingham is a leading member of the Russell Group and a founder member of the Universitas 21 global network of research universities. Birmingham is ranked in the top 100 universities internationally, and in the top 20 in all UK league tables. The Centre for Cyber Security is recognised by NCSC and EPSRC as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security research. Consisting of a large team of academics with expertise across the spectrum of security topics and methods, the centre has significant strengths in applied cryptography, hardware and embedded infrastructure security, and formal methods. We are dedicated to working with industry and government to improve cyber security and privacy for all of society.
