CREST unveils refreshed global Council leadership to drive cyber security strategy

CREST, the global not-for-profit membership body representing the cyber security industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Regional Council members and Chairs following the completion of its triennial election process.

This marks a significant milestone in CREST’s ongoing commitment to ensuring strong, representative, and regionally informed governance that supports the development of capability, capacity, consistency, and collaboration across the global cyber security sector.

The refreshed Councils – across Asia, Australasia, Europe, North America and the UK – play a pivotal role in representing member interests, guiding regional strategy, and contributing to CREST’s broader international direction through participation on the International Council.

Nick Benson, CEO of CREST, said:
“Our members are at the heart of what we do. The Regional Councils ensure that local perspectives and challenges are heard and integrated into our global strategy.

CREST’s strength lies in its people – from members to Council leaders. Together, we are changing the face of the industry by championing professional standards, promoting global best practices, and supporting collaboration with regulators and national authorities.

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our outgoing Council members and Chairs for their invaluable contributions and welcome our new representatives who will help drive CREST’s mission forward in the years ahead.”

Why This Matters

The Regional Councils serve as critical touchpoints between CREST and its members in each region. By electing new representatives every three years, CREST ensures its governance remains dynamic, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving landscape of cyber security across the globe.

In addition to providing strategic insight, the Councils help shape initiatives around accreditation, professional development, regional advocacy, and industry engagement.
