What is threat intelligence?
Threat intelligence is defined as contextualised output of a strategically driven process of collection and analysis of information pertaining to the identities, goals, motivations, tools and tactics of malicious entities intending to harm or undermine a targeted organisation’s operations, ICT systems or the information flowing through them. Threat intelligence is used to carry out specialised penetration testing to deliver highly targeted attacks against organisations to simulate sophisticated threat actors.

The CPTIA examination is an entry-level qualification aimed at individuals who are seeking to establish themselves within the Threat Intelligence industry.
CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst (CRTIA)
The CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst examination is aimed at individuals who are part of a team delivering threat intelligence services.
CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM)
The CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager examination tests candidates’ knowledge and expertise in leading a team that specialises in producing threat intelligence.
